Located in Mary Street in the heart of Galway City, the Asian Tea House Restaurant was opened in June 2008.
Co-owned by Terry Commons and Alan Wong, the Asian Tea House brings a true taste of the Orient to the West of Ireland. From the front-of-house décor to the woks in the kitchen, a visit to the restaurant is an entirely Asian experience. Uniquely designed doors, tables, cane woven chairs and light fixtures recreate an authentic Asian restaurant. A beautiful aqua green tile floor sets off all the artwork, bronzed wall hangings and woodcarvings which have been specially sourced in Asia by Terry.
The restaurant serves local and international produce in Oriental-style dishes from Asia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and China. Our focus is on fresh food with great flavour. We use only the best produce which is sourced locally and in season where ever possible. All our dishes are MSG free and cooked to order. Our meats are fully traceable and we only use 100% Irish rib eye steak
House specialities such as Vietnamese Lime Pork, Mango Chicken and Indonesian Tomato Curry are unique to the Asian Tea House
In addition to a full a la carte menu which is available every evening from Monday through Saturday the Asian Tea House also, features three other menus; a gluten free menu, a take away menu available nightly and a mid week special menu.
